Terms of Service
Last updated September 29, 2026
Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Chatmoji (“we”, “us”) for the Chatmoji service at chatmoji.ai (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
If you use Chatmoji for a company, you confirm you can bind that company. “You” includes the company.
The Service
Chatmoji lets you configure AI agents that answer customers on channels you connect, using knowledge you provide, and hand a conversation to your team when a person should take over. Web chat and WhatsApp are available today. We may add, change, or retire features. We will not materially reduce a paid feature during a billing period you have already paid for without a reasonable alternative or a refund of the unused period.
Accounts
Registration asks for your name, email address, and a password, or you can sign in with Google. You are responsible for your login and for everyone you invite to the workspace. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe the account is compromised.
Do not create extra accounts to evade plan limits or a suspension.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit: knowledge, agent instructions, contacts, and conversations (“Customer Data”). You grant us a license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data only to provide and secure the Service. That includes sending relevant excerpts and conversation context to a model provider so it can generate a reply.
You confirm you have the rights, and have given any notices, required to upload Customer Data and to let your end customers talk to an agent. That includes consent your local law requires before their messages are used to generate replies.
We do not use Customer Data to train Chatmoji's own models. See the Privacy Policy for how model providers process a request.
Acceptable use
You will not use the Service to:
- Break the law or infringe someone else's rights
- Send spam, phishing, or deceptive messages
- Impersonate a person or a business you do not represent
- Upload malware, or attempt to access another workspace's data
- Probe, scan, or overload the Service, except in a test we have agreed to in writing
- Store or generate content that sexually exploits minors
- Present the agent as a licensed professional giving medical, legal, or financial advice, unless a qualified person reviews the outcome
We may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you first and let you fix the issue, unless the problem is serious or the law requires us to act immediately.
WhatsApp connections that use an unofficial client can lead WhatsApp to restrict or ban the number. Connect a number you can replace, keep volume modest, and follow WhatsApp's rules. We are not responsible for action WhatsApp or Meta takes against a number you connect.
AI replies
Replies are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for your agent's instructions, its knowledge, and what your end customers are told. Set handoff for topics a person should handle. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, or similar relationship.
Trials, plans, and billing
A new workspace starts on a 14-day trial of the Growth plan. The trial does not require a card. When you subscribe, you choose a plan — Starter, Growth, or Scale — billed monthly or yearly in US dollars through Polar. The price is shown before you confirm.
Usage is metered in AI conversations. Up to 12 AI replies in one thread during a UTC month count as one conversation. Replies your team sends do not count. If you reach the plan's allowance, AI replies may pause until the next period or until you move to a higher plan. Your team can still reply from the inbox.
A subscription renews until you cancel. You can cancel from billing settings and keep access through the end of the period you already paid. We do not refund a partial period, except where the law requires it or where we end the Service without cause.
Taxes may be added where required. If a payment fails, paid features can pause after we notify you. We may change prices for a future term, and we will tell you before the new price applies to a renewal.
Your team and channels
You decide who is in the workspace and what they can do. You are responsible for their use of the Service. Widget installation, domain allowlists, and channel connections are yours to configure. Anyone who can load your widget on an allowed origin can start a conversation. An empty allowlist means the widget can load on any site that embeds it.
Third-party services
Integrations, including apps you connect and MCP servers you add, are provided by others under their own terms. Connect tools you trust, and limit the actions an agent may take. We are not responsible for those services.
Our intellectual property
We own the Service, the Chatmoji name, the logo, and the software. These terms do not transfer that ownership. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law does not allow that limit.
You may use the widget snippet we provide to embed Chatmoji on your sites. On plans that include it, you may hide Chatmoji branding in the widget.
Confidentiality
We protect Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy and limit access to people who need it to operate the Service. You will protect your login and any keys we issue to your workspace.
Suspension and ending access
You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel a paid plan as described above. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, if the law requires it, or if your use threatens the Service or other customers.
After access ends, we delete Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy, except for records we must keep. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law — stay in effect.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an AI reply will be accurate or fit a particular purpose. Some places do not allow these disclaimers. There, they apply only as far as the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Chatmoji is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data or goodwill. Our total liability for claims arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
This limit does not apply to liability the law does not allow us to limit, or to our willful misconduct.
Your responsibility for claims
You will cover Chatmoji against third-party claims that arise from your Customer Data, the way you message end customers, or your breach of these terms, including a claim that you did not have the rights to content you uploaded. We will give you prompt notice of the claim and reasonable help responding to it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change is material, we will notify workspace owners by email or in the product before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the update. If you do not agree, cancel before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Indonesia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service. If you are a consumer with mandatory rights where you live, those rights still apply.
